Quarters for our Heifer International Ark!
The quarter collection tube was emptied and blessed by the children last Sunday to support our ark. $140 was added to the growing collection that supports our Heifer International Ark.  Since September, we have raised 20% of the $5000 needed to buy a Heiffer Ark!  We encourage you to keep donating your quarters and/or making your own personal contribution.  Checks can be made payable to Heifer International and processed through First Congregational Churchof Hadley in order to be credited towards our Ark.  Thank you for your generosity!  For more information about Heifer International:  http://www.heifer.org

Help Stock the Hadley Food Pantry!
The First Congregational Church of Hadley and Most Holy Redeemer Church continue to support the Hadley Food Pantry with volunteers and donations. More and more guests have been coming to the pantry to select a few items off the shelves each Sunday. It has become more difficult to keep the pantry stocked. We encourage you to donate non-perishable food items to The Hadley Food Pantry.  Bring a few items to church with you on Sunday and/or take a Pantry Bag home to fill! The shopping cart in the front vestibule of the church is where these donations are collected. If you are running short of food by the end of the week or end of the month, you are welcome to come to get a few items to supplement your supply. The Hadley Food Pantry is open on Sundays from noon to 1 p.m. at the Most Holy Redeemer Parish hall.  Ann Koski, Pantry Coordinator 413-575-2552

Stewardship Moving Forward
The Stewardship Committee has been working to develop a comprehensive plan to help the church realize a stronger financial future. We are planning on ways to cast our net out wider and explore new opportunities to secure funding to continue to maintain and grow the church. We would like to hear from you, to get your opinions on your feelings about giving; why you give and what makes you feel good about making a gift to support the work of the church.  The Stewardship Committee also needs a few new members ~ join us in making a difference in our church’s health by helping with stewardship. You can talk to Dave Storey, Lila West, or Reverend Charlotte.

Memorial Donations
Our church members have a strong history of supporting the church both during their lives and after they have gone on before us. If you would like to continue that tradition, the Stewardship Committee would like to make that as easy as possible for you. A gift to our church is a wonderful way to celebrate a life and leave a lasting legacy in a loved one’s honor.

We have created memorial giving cards that may be used when a friend or family member has passed away. If the Church is the beneficiary of the memorial contribution designations, we can provide the funeral home with memorial cards so that family and friends can easily make a contribution. These cards may also be used when a family has chosen not to designate a charity, or if a parishioner desires to do something special in memory of that person. Cards are available in the rear of the sanctuary, or by calling Delores at the church office. The Church will send out acknowledgements to the donors. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact a member of the Stewardship Committee.
